Internment Camp, Hong Kong.

I applied some two years ago for a Civilian Disability pension, but was turned down with no reason given. I have a Medical

Certificate from Dr. Aira of South Brae Drive, Glasgow, which substantiates same.

Two of my sons have made their home in U.K., the eldest is an Engineer in Greenock and the third eldest has joined the Air Force two years ago and is now stationed in Wiltshire. I intenä returning to U.K. with Mrs. Osborne and the two youngest boys, who are 13 and 15 years, ii some assurance would be given me that my claim would be met on my return to U.K. and that our passages would be met by the Government and same deductea from the claim or War Damages.

I shall be very thankful if you can exercise your power to have the matter brought to the notice of the Colonial Office or the Governor of Hong Kong, as we are all in a very bad plight and deserve all the consideration given us, moreso for what Mrs. Osborne had gone through for which she had to testify on a

'' form completed by her in connection with the crimes in question to try Japanese War Criminals. The letter was sent by Major R. G. de L. Wormell and her evidence was taken in the presence of the chief Constable of the Paisley Court, Renfrewshire. Reference No. MD/JAG/FS/JM 16(3B) Confidential.

I am, etc.

(SGD.) A.R. OSBORNE.
